'81 3.0 rev limiter
I’ve searched, but can’t find anything about the 3.0 fuel pump shutoff rev limiter. I have a 3.0 in my ’74 911 and the rev limiter was not connected. I need one as I track the car, but don’t know how to wire the fuel shutoff. I would get a rev limiter rotor, but they seem to be only available for the 2.7. Any suggestions other than a MSD?

Euro models had it in the rotor.....buy one of those.
MSD makes a replacement CDI with a limiter. Lot's chepaer to use the rotor.

Joe Bob,
Where do I get a rotor limiter? Pelican and others only shows them for a 74 to 77. Mine is an 81. JT |

I think that's the number posted above....call them and ask for Glen Sager. He'll set you up. Been awhile since I had my euro motor....they have different limits and they are engraved on the rotor.

Euro vs Turbo Rotor
As long as you are not running a CAT, the Turbo or Euro distributor rotor is the way to go. I have a 3.0 Euro in my 73. Decide the cut-off RPM you want. If I recall correctly, the Turbo is 7000 RPM and the Euro is 6800 RPM. The Turbo may be less expensive.

Yeah, the Turbo is less than half the Euro and since it's merely a fail-safe device, I'll probably go with the Turbo.
