I am currently in Munich and am seeing tons of new 911s. I think they look awesome! Just saw one outside of the Augustiner Garten!

Have you driven a 911 in Germany on your trip? Did you get a taste of the Autobahn in a Porsche? Enjoy the trip and show us pictures!

But in truth, i have some bubles on the exaust...

or just replace with stainless steel

or get some Ti fabbed up...

I'm new around here and don't have a Porsche but it's projects like yours that will motivate me to one day break down and get one. I have loved them since I was a kid and lived in Germany.

I have a nephew who will be start school at Florida Gulf Coast in the fall, I will show him this thread and maybe he will be able to see your car in person.

Hi Porwolf!

I have never driven a 911 in Germany. This trip we had a VW Polo 1.4 that I was able to get to 195 kmh! Someday I hope to drive the Autobahn in Porsche. Maybe next trip!

Hi Lars!

Thanks for the awesome offer. I was not checking Pelican often during our trip as we were extremly busy otherwise I would have taken you up on your offer. I will definitly get in touch with you the next time we are in Munich to come by and check out your cars!

Thanks,
Kristoph

I have been thinking about getting a stainless one for a while and think I will that but will have to wait until the repainting project is finished due to cost considerations. Someday I will get the SSI heat exchangers together with a new muffler! Someday far far away!

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the kind words! I have loved Porsches since I was a kid as well. If your nephew is interested in please have him come by my office in the fall! I would love to talk to him about cars and engineering! When you get your Porsche someday I would be glad to help you with advice.

Cheers,
Kristoph

Yeah, it falls into the "more money than brains" category. Carbon fiber, my ass.

that is a very special one off by a guy who makes parts for Porsche Racing Div. -- go to Rennlist & the 964 section then look for the pinned thread by Robert Linton - 964 GS

it is a combination of CF and Ti - you can ignore the ignorant comments by know-nothings such dafisher above

Since I am such an "ignorant know-nothing" please enlighten me as to exactly how that setup would work on KKinzli's T, short of him installing a 964 drivetrain in it. And if you're going to insult me, at least spell my name correctly.

Now now boys. Just wanted you to know I'm enjoying a Weihenstephaner Hefe
Weissbier while catching up on your thread. Cheers

If one has the desire and means to make a carbon muffler and such for a 911 why shouldn't it be done? I don't see how doing so is offensive, but apparently it is?!
