'86 Cabriolet sticker price

I purchased my '86 Cab in January this year. Does anyone have an idea what the sticker price would have been in 1986?
- Grand Prix White with burgundy leather interior
- air condition
- power windows
- power locks
- power windows
- cruise control
- dual power seats
- white face gauges

My Dad bought a 1986 911 Carrera with moon roof, Champagne leather with jet black exterior, A/C and power everything for $43K IIRC. Probably somewhere near that price I would guess.

I hope this helps.

Very ballpark I agree. My Targa with a lot of options was 40K...Cabs musta been a bit more. Regardless, $40K then, $20K now.... ...cept for mine, "$20K +"

Maybe my old man's 911 was 34 not 43. Hmmmm...I will ask him to verify.

Maybe cabs were cheaper? No spoilers there, not many options, no extra for the soft top, could very well be that Cabriolets were just a cheap Porsche...French moniker even... ...at least Targas were named after the successes at Targa Florio....so I read once...

That window sticker is for a Guards Red with Black interior tourist delivery Targa (model 911440) The US sticker price for a cabriolet (model 911640) would be significantly more.

BTW- air conditioning- power windows & power locks were standard on US cars - partial leather seats were also standard but full leather was an option.

Don't mind, but ours is a Targa, and reflects the 10% discount
applied to customer factory deliveries.

Cab are always more expensive...

From Porsche 911 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Footnote #13

Three basic models were available throughout the Carrera years – coupe, targa and cabriolet. When launched in 1984 in the United States, the prices of the 911 Carrera lineup were $31,950 for the coupe, $33,450 for the targa and $36,450 for the cabriolet.

I bought an 88 coupe 2 weeks ago and found the window sticker and purchase / warranty papers inside the document folder. i posted a thread / pics on FerrariChat.

Ill post a pic later when I have access. Car was $51k, sold at a Florida dealer to a James Coburn. Doubt it was the actor, i'd have to look up his bio on Wiki.

I figured the info may at least give a value spread.

He liked fast cars, and was a close friends with "The King of Cool".
