911 engine oil cooler

Has anyone ever thought of ditching the engine oil cooler since we have external oil coolers and replaceing it with a conversion kit to maybe an oil filter or to another external oil cooler or maybe just a conversion to get rid of it?

Yes, the 993 does just that. You can buy the aftermarket replacement block-off panels or else get the 993 setup which puts a filter there instead. They also make an aftermarket version of the 993 oil filter console which angles the filter for easier removal/reinstallation.

Well, I don't see a part number in the PET or a listing for it on Pelican.
