High Idle SSI upgrade on SC

Pulled my engine on 82SC, fixed all possible oil leaks went every seal every gasket replaced, Installed SSis from stock exhaust, sound incredible, problem is I started f the first time, idle was about 1500 then it eventually got to 2200 and stayed there. I am guessing a vacuum leak even though I was very mindful of all connections and hoses, when I had engine out I am concerned about the line that runs around the back side of the compartment against fire wall from the unit on the a/c side around to the connection on other side of compartment into the bottom of the air box, its and old hose. Anyone else got in ideas or should I just start looking for vacuum leaks Thanks

Years ago when I sealed up the assorted leaks in the CIS on my 81 I had to have it recallibrated due to the change in air/fuel mixture. My guess is that the change in RPM is due to a lack of leaks.

Thanks to all, I think I may be leaning toward the tightening up of the entire engine may have changed CIS operation. If so not sure if this is something I should attempt, do I need certain tools or should I take to a Porsche Mech The one thing I have noticed this week starting the engine, it fires right up idles about a 1000, then over a period of about 5 minutes as engine warms it goes uo to about 2000. Does this ring a bell
Thanks to all
