Stock Deck Lid Weight
I'm sure this has been written somewhere but I can't seem to find it.
Does anyone know the weight of the stock deck lid for a '79 SC - no spoiler? thanks.

I was playing around with one and without much effort had it under 7lbs.

Are you talking lid grill, insignias? I searched a bit the other day when alphie posted this. Did not find a specific reference to the stock weight but did see a lot of f-glass lids stating "substantial weight savings" From 7 from 9 pounds from your effort is substantial alone. |

Thanks!
That weight saving thread showed the stock lid at 12.57 and the new one at 10 lbs.

Evidently, I need a secret handshake to access. BTW, I recall weighing my bare rear deck lid at around 7lbs., but with a typical crap bath scale. Sherwood |

I have been wanting to replace my lid with something lighter while keeping a stock look. So it looks like the ali lid saves 7lbs.
Does anyone know if someone makes a carbon lid that looks stock? |
