Exclamation Check Your "S" Shaped Oil Hose!

As I crawled under the car to inspect the ground strap, I noticed that the oil "s" shaped hose going from the oil tank to the oil cooler was cracked at the neck of the oil cooler and some oil residue was beginning to seep out. Funny thing is, I replaced this same hose 2 years ago and have only put about 10K miles on the car since. I'm guessing my hose had less than 500 miles on it before catastrophe. Replacement is easy: jack up the car, drain the oil, undo both hose clamps, and remove and replace. So I just thought I would put out a cautionary post and remind you all to check your oil hoses! It only takes a second and can save your engine's life. Do it before going to work, school, or just going for a drive. Your car will thank you!

2 Years? That is OxCrap, why do they not last like the OEMs? Is there a better replacement part?

I bought the first one here from Pelican as well as the replacement hose I just put on. We'll see how long this one lasts. Other than the cracks in the hose, the rubber of the old one was much much harder. Anyone else have similar problems of this hose not lasting as long as it should? If so, we should contact the guys at Pelican and let them know.
