Adjusting the idle on a 3.6

Tried searching and no luck.

Anyone know how to adjust the idle on a 3.6 964 engine? Its at times going up to 1200 at idle and would like to bring it down a bit.

Thx, Joe

either you have a minor manifold leak or need a new idle control switch (unit),don't believe there's a manual adjustment

i had the throttle wire routed in a way that there was too much friction in the wire which prevented the throttle to close completely.

Thanks and will check all of the above!

What should the engine idle at normally? Am guessing 900 rpm's or so?

Joe
