Another candidate for the Cuckoos Nest?
$62000 in receipts restoring a '77 Targa ?? But please note the main selling feature: motor by Motor Meister of California.
I can only assume someone jumped on this deal in a hurry. ►1977 Porsche 911 Targa Manual Black

1830 miles since rebuild. So he's basically saying it's time for another rebuild.

To bad about the MM rebuild. Maybe it is one that will hold up. Rest of the car is just beautiful.

I wonder what else is hidden below the bling?
If the owner was dumb enough to use MM for the engine...perhaps below the shine there is also some other nasty surprises. Bob

That's right down the road from me.
In MM's defense, it leaks less than my motor after I rebuilt it! ![]()

It's got kind of a Frankenstein aspect to it. 77 body with polished targa bar up against late model bumpers. Updated side view mirrors. It doesn't work for me. The stance isn't right either. I can imagine that it's hard to get a good stance with 18s.
It appears to be a far nicer car than my daily driver, but then I don't have his asking price in my car, not to mention the total of his receipts. It would be interesting to see what happened if five builders had a $60K budget each. They'd all come up with something different. But I'll bet they wouldn't come up with this. |

I think the rear wheels need bigger spacers. Otherwise, a very cool looking car. "Engine by MotorMeister"; that's a deal breaker!!!! What are the odds that engine will last another 1800 miles?

That 62k in receipts is likely including the original purchase price of the car ....
That blue .. wow and the bling |
