Is there any value in old carpet?

I just replaced the (likely original) carpet in my car with new RS carpeting - what a difference it makes in appearance! Is there any value in the old stuff? It's pretty worn where traffic is heavy, though the stuff in the back seat is ok. The front stuff I'd say is 2-3/10, the back seat maybe 5. If it's worth something I'll put it in the classifieds. If it's worth very little, I'll give it away for the cost of shipping. If it's really that useless (as I suspect it is) I'll toss it in the trash.

I gave mine away free to a guy locally who is doing an ultra low budget build on a 912. You could always post it up on Craigslist, or on the parts section here as free + shipping rather than throw it away. There is always someone out there who only needs one piece, or is looking to clean up an old junker with some better-but-not-new carpet.

I tend to sit and wait for things to sell because I have a hard time throwing stuff out that is useable. I fear I may turn into a packrat in time, lol.
