My 79 911 sc comes with U.S. CIS SYSTEM ,MY friend just recieved a EURO CIS System can anyone tell me the difference,if any.Thanks Tony

The 78-79 intake runners are the same width as the ROW CIS. I'm not sure about the other components.

I'm pretty sure the runners are a bit longer Euro spec vs US. Reason for Euro having a few more ponies than the US.
The rest is the same. Also the WUR is different if I remember correctly. The downside is that finding pieces for the Euro are more difficult in the CIS distributor... Ah.. I still remember the joy of CIS... ![]()

euro vs us cis
There are a few differences. The fuel distributor is different as well as the ignition distributor. There are also differences internally with pistons and intake port sizes on some of the years. Euro cars never had the ecu lampda setup , no cats.
