82 911SC turn signal relay location and need help with another box
I searched but can't find the pictures of where the turn signal relay or hazard relay goes. Building a car that didn't have any turn signals.
Anybody know what the black box is to the left of the multi hole connector and what the two connectors are for (one four hole and one six hole)? thanks again Marlin ![]() ![]()

The 4 pin connector in your hand is for the blinker relay. The black box on the left side of the 2nd pic (with the white connector) is the RPM limiter. It turns off the fuel pump when the RPM goes too high. Not sure what the other connector is in the 2nd pic.

thank you very much. maybe it's a seat belt relay. I think I saw it in another post.
It's nice to find out what the stolen parts were. regards Marlin

I was originally going to say it was the seat belt relay, but figured that I would be best off not guessing and that someone who knew for sure would probably chime in.
Good luck with your Project! Oh, and don't bother with the off brand blinker relay...I bought one and it didn't work. Bought the Hella part and it worked just fine.

your turnsignal and er relay is located behind the left most gauge. pull the gauge out and you'll see it.

I have the same car, and a similar issue. Turn signals and flashers don't work, and neither does my windshield washer. I've removed the 2 left gauges, and my connectors look different from the photos above and from the Bently guide. I can only find two relays. According to Bently there should be three - windshield washer motor, seat belt alarm, and flashers. I have the round socket with a relay in it, as per the original poster's photo, and another socket with the same tall, square relay in it (photo). Is it possible that someone took out the seat belt alarm relay and wiring? Also, I purchased a replacement flasher relay already, and it looks a bit shorter than the existing, but it seems to have the same specs on it. Can I try this in the round socket without risking shorting if it's the incorrect relay?

I can confirm that the round receptacle does indeed connect the turn signal and flasher relay. What the other one is that's in my dash on the left side, I'm not sure, although it should be either the seat belt signal or the windshield washer motor. I'm guessing it's the seat belt, as the washer motor wiring looks like it just goes straight to the fuse panel. Next project: dig out the washer reservoir and see if the motor still works.
