Funny clip. Notice it's a longhood in the first shot (about 0:28) then it's an impact bumper in the later shots?

Funny - it changes from a long hood with chrome H-4s to a short hood SC.

They were in pursuit of a "Beautiful 911 SC, blueprinted Milled and ported", started out a longnose, morphed into an impact bumper car, but the "trailing throttle oversteer" is what finally killed the poor bastard...

I love the way the entire cabin turns into a fireball on the way down the cliff! Must have been an issue with the fuel lines in the tunnel. I need to remember to check mine!

Maybe they switched because they didn't want the long hood taking the cliff dive?

The cabin-shot is the longhood too, correct?

I love the rear look of the turbotailed sc as its tearing ass around the corner. It looks planted!!

"Roger, we're punching it..." Some things are best left in the 80s, TJ Hooker, and Sonny Crockett included.

I think after seeing that clip, I might go buy an old Dodge Diplomat to take to the track - looks like it might be able to keep up with all you guys. I also find it interesting how the "trailing throttle oversteer" resulted in the guy going through the guardrail front end first.

I don't think that long hoods had the value they do now. Think about it, an SC would be almost brand new and a T would be just another few years old 911.

Another thing just came to mind... Pleco, how did you come upon this clip? Just accidentally happened to be surfing TJ Hooker vids on youtube?

Anyone notice how Shattner looks like Oompa-loompa as he states off the cliff??- now that's weird!!

I found it while I was doing a search for hookers

But seriously, I was looking at '84/'85 911's being driven around by their owners.

Just buy the one you're asking about the value of, then you can look at yourself in the mirror driving an '85.
