To see if you have limited slip, jack the rear of the car up, and put stands under the outtermost parts of the torsion bar tubes. With both wheels spinning freely, roatate one of them as though the car is driving forward. If the opposite wheel turns in the same direction, you have a limited slip unit. While the car's up, poke around for a radiator-like device connected to the transaxle by oil lines. If there's one there, you've got a tranny cooler. ------------------ _ _________________ _ Jack Olsen My Rennlist home page • My Pelican Gallery page • My Porsche Owners Gallery page

Well you could do it that way or do your best NHRA style burn out. When the tire smoke clears, check if you left one stripe or two... I think this was RarlyL8's idea? I think it would be more fun too! david 89 turbo cab [This message has been edited by 5axis (edited 08-01-2001).]

John? Hope you like buying Porsche clutch assemblies. The burn out test is a great way to boost our sagging economy.
