Vibration when A/C is running
On my '88 cab, I am noticing a low frequency vibration when the A/C compressor is running. The A/C works fine.
Any one else experienced this? Any ideas what would cause it? Thanks Ngueldner |

Go watche the belt while the A/C is running. Very possibly it is flapping. A/C systems commonly vibrate, in my experience. I suggest a move to a more mild climate where you can just remove A/C altogether.

When the compressor has a load on it, it also puts a load on the engine. Mine does the same thing at idle and up to about 1500 rpm.
If the belt starts squeeling when it is tight, then the compressor has a high head pressure problem. Otherwise, it should be working ok. Steve |
