What is the best adhesive for door sill rubber strips

The door sill strip (plastic/rubber piece directly below the door) was coming loose. i removed it and cleaned everything and now I'm ready to re-glue. Can anybody tell me what the proper glue to use is. I live in a hot climate (over 100 in summer) and I need something that will hold and is not going to ooze out.

Thanks......Vern

I used Wurth spray adhesive on mine. It tacks up almost immediately and creates an excellent bond. It's perfect for reinstalling the carpet too. It worked like a charm. Just make sure to mask the front while spraying then peel off the tape carefully after installation.

I used a 3M product for seals, seemed to work great.

+1 Used it for years on many cars both in the humid summers and cold winters in Upstate NY and the desert of CA. Always did well for me.

The trick on using the 3M adhesive is to carefully read the instructions before you use it, not after you realize it isn't working very well.

Definitely 3M trim adhesive. Its available in black or beige. I use the color that blends best with the background just in case a little does ooze out, but that will not cause a problem. I have used it in the hot South for 15 years restoring VWs and never a problem. Follow instructions carefully!

I recommend DAP contact cement. It is amazingly strong, and bonds instantly on contact - no waiting, pressing, clamping, etc. Just press together and walk away.
