What's the hidden meaning behind your user name?
Let's see, we've had everyone's picture, their car, their first car, thier engine, thier license plate and thier favorite racing saying. While some user names are self explanatory, some are obscure, except to the user. What does your user name signify or relate to?
Zeke914--Zeke is the nickname I used as a single name, as in no last name, when I filled out my entry form for Kart racing. Zeke27 is how I go on ShopTalk Forums. #27 was my kart no. I retired from kart racing in 1993 at age 47. Willow Springs was my home track. Not Streets, not the kart track, big Willow. Got about 30 hours on that track. Can't stand not racing anymore so I'm going back in a 914. Maybe some day I can move into a 911. I had a previous 914 on the street and a 911s Targa. But I didn't set out to tell my story, just explain where Zeke came from. How 'bout your name? |
Self-explanatory

I raced r/c cars for about 10 years. 7 of those I raced r/c professionally. In traveling all over the world racing these things, many people you meet in different countries had a hard time with my last name (Walrod), especially the Japanese.
A nickname soon came about....Waldo. Then rcwaldo... Chris |

I really love RUF cars, mainly the Yellow Bird and the CTR 3. At the time when I registered, I was in the "black" phase of my life, and wanted to paint my project black. So not Yellow Bird, but Black Bird. That, and I love the SR-71 Blackbird.

JDaniel - could be my favorite libation, a hint at my profession, my name, or all three: choose whichever you like best.:D

Longtime nickname derived from my initials

Mine refers to a nickname given to me in college, after an incident involving my '80 Ford Escort, a C4 Corvette, Mulholland Highway in Malibu, and excessive speed. Let's just say that, pushrods and all, an Escort will keep up with a Corvette, as long as the driver of the Escort knows his car well, is unaware of the concept of hospital stays, and the Corvette is driven by the typical LA pretty boy, with typical incompetance.
BTW, this little experience is what taught me the concept of corner balancing: cord showing on right front, dead shocks on left front & right rear, and different tire make & size on the left rear. Perfect balance! Hmm, thinking about this event, I guess I need to apalogize to Widebody for bagging on his street racing exploits. At least there weren't any crosswalks for a dozen miles or so... |
I wish I could change it and retain my history. I may change it anyway.... When signing on for the first time, I didn't know this would beome my screen name. It's a random log-on assigned by EDS to my work account two jobs ago! My screen name at Renn List is Ray911S. Can I change here, or just sign up for a new account and start over?

Mine is the callsign I was given by the rest of the guys in the squadron - they are usually for something really stupid/funny you've done, or a play on your "real" name. Face came from the A-Team if you remember that "classic" 80's TV show!
Cheers, |
I can't remember. :D

My kids came up with it.
I was watching Cannonball Run with my kids and had been explaining the German Autobahn to them. One wrote this name down and said there should be a movie called this. I decided to use his spelling.

Even though it sounds like something you're in while imbibing ("...he was found in a drunken stupor..."), it's an old nickname derived from the family surname.
And hell, on rare occasions (like at the Sebring infield, late Friday night), I've been the drunken Stooper. Tim Stoops |
Well, lets say I have Polly Shore for a neighbor. Every time I drive by his house he belts out " Targa Dude" so there you have it..
