Alternator help
I replaced my alternator with a new valeo unit with internal regulator. Problem is the red alternator stays on when car is off and key is out????? Alternator seems to function perfectly except for that. 12.5 when on, 11.35 when cranking and 13.75 when engine starts and stays constant when reving. Alternator light goes off when engine starts. Book says diodes in alternator are gone when red light stays on. Ideas help.
Thanks Frank |

Just replaced my externally regulated Marcal with a Pelican bought Valeo with internal regulator.
The black wire is not used on this model. Did you cut the black wire or in my case tape it up out of the way?
