Fuel tank filler neck dilemma

So I will be installing a under hood fuel filler neck on stock 1975 911s fuel tank . I have seen lots of options like bolt on vs welded 45 degree vs 90 degree screw on cap vs standard .Then there is the way more expensive RSR kit. Why is that? Are theRe special considerations that I am not aware of.
Please enlighten me.

I have to ask - why do this? Racers with fuel cells may raise the hood to refill if they don't use a somewhat more convenient external fill method. Or have a quick fill system through the hood. Or use the (banned in racing venues) cool Monza external cap. But a stock fuel tank?

Your purpose would seem to dictate the design options.

I was convinced to delete the fender fuel door . Did this . Later on the guy doing the work Baird on me . So just trying to make the best of the situation. Shame on me.

Well, you may be on your own. Figure out what shapes best hold a standard gas pump nozzle (I assume this is a street car), and figure out what you can do to attain that. A hose to connect to the final piece with a cap, and some kind of chassis anchored bracket. The vent part ought to be fairly simple.

Hope your hood shocks are working well.
