Question Comp T/A R1 Widths

My Carrera 3.0 needs new racing rubber for his 16x7 and 16x8 wheels. Currently it has worn out 205/50 and 225/45 Comp T/A R1s. How do these compare in terms of width to the Victoracers and Hoosiers? Now of course, there are no 205/50 on victoracers or hoosiers so the real question is how much wider is the Victoracers and Hoosiers 225/45 compared to the Comp T/A R1s 205/50. The same for the difference between the Victoracers and Hoosiers 245/40 and Comp T/A R1 225/45.

In other words, I would like to run Victoracers or Hoosiers but that forces me to 225/45 and 245/40s. Are these to wide or ineffective for racing purposes with 7 and 8s?
