Advice regarding replacing hard brake lines....

Hi,

I am putting my 1973 Targa back together, now replacing the hard brake lines. Unfortunately I have only a pack of lines in different lengths to start with, and the car came to me completely stripped. I have no idea what goes where and how! I can bet that I will end up with the last lines too short....

So, anyone who have a diagram, or an idea about which lenghts go where? And how they should be bent around gearbox and similar? I have tried searching, but could not find what I am looking for.

Any ideas would be very welcome!

Thanks, for future reference they are on page 261.

Still, I am not sure which lenght go where, but at least I got some guidance. And if someone has pics of how they are routed, especially the one for the left rear wheel, that would be very appreciated.....

Are you talking about the lines that go through the tunnel or the short lines over the banana arms?

Johan,

I see this is a few days old, so you maybe have figured this out already. This was quite a puzzle (I got a the full kit, unbent, as well). I'm not sure I can give you everything you need, but I at least have a good picture of the routing of the rear lines. Check fit with regard to the control arms too. As long as you have the 'T' that meets the long line out of the tunnel and bolts into the control arm mount, the rest should fall into place. It's a bit of trial and error, and the lines themselves proved pretty forgiving.

A decent tube bending tool is a big help. They can be bought for cheap.
