Question Fender rolling and engine racket

My turning radius is hurting fairly bad from my new low-ass-stance. How can roll my front inner fender lips to get more clearance w/o removing paint in the process???

Also my engine sounds pretty good except somtimes when im slowing down i hear a racket goin on. what could this be? engine starved for oil?? (i don't put it in neutral when slowin down. wht could i do to combat this?

Thanks to contributers in advance.

Patrick,

I used an aluminum baseball bat to roll my inner fenders. I picked up a kids bat for $20. I found one with a rubber wrapping around the handle. You can use your tire as a lever and slowely push the inner lip up. Once the lip is too far for the handle, you can switch to the fat end of the bat. I wrapped tape around the bat to protect my paint. You can roll as much as needed but be careful. You can only go so far without cracking the paint. Go slow and push on the outside of the fender with your other hand so you don't push your fender out. You'll also have to jack up the car to get the fat end of the bat in there. Maybe for both if you're really low. Good luck.

Cool

Patrick,
How low did you go? Euro height?/lower?
What size wheel/tires you running?
I'm planning on lowering my 86 coupe, and need to decided what size tires/fuchs to get.

Found this site on previous thread regarding lip rolling.

Cerbin,

Do you have a picture of that?

My car is lowered pretty agressively too, but almost 2 inches higher than your car. How do you deal with curbs?

I had to machine my suspension pick up points to bring it into alignment. How did you do it?
