Who has the highest powered 2.7 CIS?
Mine is a stock '74 2.7S making 175 hp. I understand that higher compression and a 964 cam will push the power up, without removing the CIS.
How much hp does your 2.7 make, and what did you do to it? I'm only referring to CIS machines. Thanks! |

I have a stock(mostly) 1975 2.7
I do have Bursch headers and a Bursch sport exhaust. Also disconnected the A/C and smog pump. I have never had it on a dyno but backdating to the pre-'75 exhaust and removing the "unnesscaries"(SP?) should put me right around 175HP. All I know is I want more!!! ![]()

Jim:
I'm looking to possibly get more hp out of my 2.7, and have been debating whether or not to stick with my motor or upgrade to possibly a 3.0. I like the work you've done to yours (2.7 to 2.9 and all), and would like to know what you spent to get that work done, if you don't mind. Also, where did you get this done? Thanks |
