G50 Shifter Rod Bushing Installation - How NOT to do it!

Ha!

OK, last night I thought that I would install my shiny new shifter rod bushing into the factory shifter housing. I had read that it helped to put the bushing in hot water for a while before attempting the task.

So, if hot is good, boiling must be really good, don'tcha think?

Well, it isn't!

In probably less than a minute my bushing started shriveling up like a raisin! Probably won't work huh? Hysterical!

Hello, hello, Pelican Parts Sales Department? ... time to reorder!

Rob

Hair dryer may be easier. You'll know its too hot when you start to burn your fingers. That is a pain in the arse part to install.
