Yoko AVI 40/15" fronts?

Yokohama makes a AVI-40 285/40/15 rear. Does anyone know if they make a 205-225 matching front?

Not really familiar with the AVI, but 285 x 40 = 114 mm. sidewall height. The closest to that diameter would be a 225 x 50 which would give a sidewall height of 112.5 mm. No way would you want a 205 x 40 with the resulting 82 mm sidewall on a 15 inch rim.

Not sure what your point is. If Yoko makes a matching (tread pattern & compound) 225 front I'm assuming it would be a 55 or 50.

Yoko still makes the 285? I haven't seen one in over a decade. Ran that tire on the front and 345 on the rear for a time. Don't know if they make a 225 but you might look at tread designs and just pick one that is a close match, that is what I do now with the Pirelli 345's.

My DP came with 225 front & 285 rear Yokos. I emailed Yoko a few days ago and they said they don't make the 225.s. What is it with these IDIOT tire companies (Pirelli & Yoko). They make the fat 15 rears and don't make a matching front? Pirelli use to make the occasional random batch of the 225's, not sure if they still do.
I switched to Michelin TB15's, which are considerably lighter than the Yokos.
