.? What's the easiest way to replace my fuel line behind the engine on my 74 911 ?
Hi guys! .? My fuel line on my 74 911 is leaking and it goes behind engine and even though I'm pulling on it I can't figure out where it goes! It feeds the top of injector pump and dissapers behind engine but doesn't seem to go to filters or electric pump on left side of rear engine area ! What am I missing here and how can I replace it ? Should I jack up car or remove interior back behind seats ? Looking for some answers please! As well my hand control little plastic thing broke by parking brace! On inside by cables and it won't start as easy as I can't enrich the warm up settings any suggestions thanks L

Which line? The supply with the CSV line attached or the return line?
They are generally routed together coming out from behind the CIS at the #3 intake runner. They are clamped back there as well. A partial or complete engine drop or complete intake removal is the best way to access this area. The firewall behind your seats provides no access to your engine. Here is a picture of the back of a '78 CIS to give you an idea of what is there. ![]()

As for the little plastic thing on the throttle cable, next to the parking brake lever, it is easy to replace. Remove the left side seat, remove the fasteners holding the parking brake assembly and gently lift and tilt the assembly toward the right side of the car.
You will see the remains of the plastic thing on or next to the throttle cable. Carefully remove the clip that holds it, remove the remains of the old plastic thing and install a new one. Be very careful that you don't drop that little clip down into the tunnel because it will be gone and you will have to replace that item, too.
