Question on engine support
Hi guys - my '74 was converted to a late 3.2 engine from a cabriolet and still has the cabriolet engine support. I'd like to converter to the more solid coupe support part # 930-375-011-01-M100.
I was planning to do this when I dropped the engine but since I was able to fix my oil leak in place (thanks guys) I was wondering if I can change the support in place as well. Thanks (still a newbie). |

Forgive me... I could be way off base here but I thought the cab mount was the more rigid of the two.
If anyone could clarify, that would be great..

Hi there - this one has the hydraulic engine mount from the cabriolet which I believe allows for more movement than the solid one for the coupes.
My car is a coupe, and am looking to tighten up her handling and shifting. |

Ok
To answer your specific question, I can get to all the bolts necessary to remove the cross bar on my junk. I see no reason that if I had to, I couldn't R/R it with the engine in place. YMMV however as I am unfamiliar with the cab mount. Seems easy to me- support the engine with a jack, R/R the part.
