Novice camber question
I am trying to get more camber out of the front suspension. All my searching just mentions the top 3 bolts as the adjustment point. If i want more than that allows, the next move is grinding out the holes to get more adjustment. Before I do that, I just want to make sure there in not another point of adjustment I am Missing. Thanks!

Those are great suggestions, although a lot of money! Since its not a race car, I feel like enlarging the holes is "free". What advantage does the plates or de cambered ball joints provide?

If you grind out the slots then you can get a bit more but then you are limited by the damper/strut body running into the chassis. To get more you need rubber bellows for dust covers rather than the metal tubes. After that you can do the rather crude method of using a strut brace to tweak the chassis. After that camber plates or else lengthen the A-arms. Lengthening the A-arms is the better way. If you are a good fabricator you can do it for not that much.

I would think the lower ball joints would be a cheaper solution ^

I don't trust the decambered ball joints enough to put them on my car.

Then why would you need more neg camber than you can get with the stock adjustment range?

Good question. What is the point on a street car? Poor tire wear?

It is used for very spirited canyon carving, Track days, and road rallies. It is a street car, and not a stripped out racer, is what I mean, although performance minded.
Right now the tires rub at extreme corners. The same wheels/tires fit on my other SC( with rolled fenders), so I figured I needed more camber. they are only 7" fuchs with 225s so I figured I don't need much to get it to clear. But, when I went to adjust, one on the 3 bolts was already as far as it could go.

Is your front bumper fiberglass? Where are the tires rubbing?
Mine rubbed on the corner of the front fiberglass valance where it meets the fender. A little file work later and they just clear. The contact was only in very specific corners due to needing a combination of body roll and steering angle to make the contact, and the contact was right on the shoulder of the tire. 7x16 Fuchs with 205/55-16 Yokohama Advan A048.

Stiffer TB's and decambered ball joints are on order in the next week or so ! Cheers ! Phil

Its rubbing at the top of the Fiberglass fenders. So they are Un-Rollable, but I can cut them. I am waiting to do permanent changes to the body/wheels until I make all the adjustments possible. Its not even very low, then is really rubs. I need some time in there making adjustments, I just never did it myself, so I need your guys feedback. Thanks!

I would think adjusting camber for the best compromise between maximum grip and tire wear (not including rubbing) would be the way to go, then make the body fit the tires.
