How much gas take your 930 on a highway drive?

Last Saturday I drove 570 Swedish km it's about 354 miles calculated to the *US miles (mostly highway and a speed about 80 to 90 miles/hour) my car took 75 liters of 98 octane gasoline for that ride, how much gasoline is your 930's take?

/Jocke

My car gets about 15-16 MPG (US gallon) on the highway at similar speeds (not that I ever exceed the speed limit, no sir, not me , and 1 US Gallon equals 3.7854L, so in MPL that's about 3.963MPL. You got 4.72, so that's much better than I get

Were you steady at 80-90 the whole time? If I lay off the boost on the highway (i.e. no accelerating to pass cars, just steady speed) then my fuel efficiency goes way up.

I get about 20mpg on the highway @70-75mph. 16 around town, and 7 at the track.

baratta930: No it was not steady speed all time, I had some ricers in my mirror sometimes.... )

cstreit, turbodog and blown thank's for sharing.

When I bought my 930 2 years ago, it took alot of more gasoline, and this year it uses less gasoline and run much better..?? and the only thing I did is to clean up some engineparts!!?

Hey Jocke,

What did you clean? I want to try that

It is a good thing our other car is a Jetta TDI. It gets 50 mpg

When I first got my 930, I was driving it back from Kansas (long, open stretches of road, cruising at no more than 80 mph). I remember averaging around 27 mpg. Since then, it's fallen significantly. K27 and other mods have something to do with that, IMO. I get about 14 around town and if careful on the highway (limited boost), I can get just over 20 mpg.

I get around 14-15 MPG in town. 22-23 on the higway - just cruising. and about 7-8 on the track.
27???????????? you're running too lean - not good for that engine.

Drove 500 miles a few months back going from IL to AL.
Got 19.4 mpg for the trip average. I was pretty shocked that it did so well! Boosted mileage must be in the low single digits. You can almost watch the gauge go down.
