Is it the Coors Light can itself or the brand that's offensive?
![]() ![]() Nice cover plates for sure. Just saying there's nothing wrong with quick n dirty or simple. My car has had the heater boxes sitting up there for years doing nothing. Time to figure out something more protective. Probably too late but better late than never.

Notice I said: ...."cheap as you can get" solutions. I emphasized "solutions" to point out that I was not saying it was not a solution to the problem. Of course there is nothing wrong with "quick n dirty or simple". I have several "simple" solutions on my race car. The "quick n dirty" solutions are saved for emergencies and replaced by "simple" or more elegant long term solutions later. Scott |

winders being douchey again
scott, not everyone can afford to drop their car off at a shop and pick it up charged on their gold card ready to race. you've paid top dollar to have another build your car, a very nice car from what you've told us all here again and again. your stellar results at the last prc event confirm that.
i admire anyone who has the resources to pay their way to the front of a race class, i bet your builder is very proud. however, in my garage resourcefulness pays higher dividends. while your here talking about what trick thing mat did to your car i'm in the garage finding a 2 cent solution to your $125 dollar problem. although the hose clamp was $1.99, so lets call it an even 2 bucks? also, been meaning to ask, is your middle name richard by chance?

Wow, I must have struck a nerve! I was picking on you a bit because you were poopooing advtracing's rather cool heater duct cover plates kit. Again, an elegant solution to real and often neglected problem. Feel free to use beer cans if that is how you want to roll. Beer cans would fall into my "saved for emergencies" solutions. Clearly the case for advtracing as well. Now, getting into you whole class envy deal: get over it. There are guys in your class that are far worse "offenders" to your sensibilities than I am! Paid my way to the front? There are at least two cars in my class with larger build budgets. In regards to the results, yes, my car drives itself..... ![]() Scott P.S. It's "William". |

Car311, I'm sure you're a good bloke; but you're coming off as a bit of dick to anyone reading this thread...
I keep a 911 on a shoe-string which has led me into doing pretty much everything for myself - engine, gearbox, body and interior. I don't judge others' car work based on their perceived income, and I don't take shots at them because they "richer" than me. I also won't take shortcuts. I save for the flash bits I want on my car and work with what I've got. Advtracing's product is niche and probably not in high demand, but to thrill us with your ingenious beer can solution on someone else's thread isn't solicited nor is it cool. And getting p1ssy when someone calls you out for it does you no credit either.

Got my set!! There were waiting for me at home when I got back from my work-related travel.
I failed to notice this was coming all the way from New Zealand! Very cool. Now to decide what color to paint them or to have them powdercoated. ![]()

Looking at making the front version for the body hole ducts left when you remove the heater system leaving only the window demist . whats your thoughts ? most likely fibreglass or pressed ali as the holes are uneven in shaping

If you can make some block off plates in the front trunk for 86-89 cars that will be great. There are many holes left behind once a/c, heating and fresh air removed.
