Aircraft Spruce sells good leak down testers ... you want the one with a .040 orifice for use with a 5 inch or less diameter piston.
Any compressor which will provide 100 psi is good although some people use 80 psi to do the leak down test for whatever reason. Cheers ! Phil

The normal flat pancake type 3.5 Gallon (135 Psi, variable) is fine...
As low as $50 but P-C is a good one for $100 3.5 Gallon 135 PSI Pancake Compressor-PCFP02003 at The Home Depot

DO NOT remove all the spark plugs at the same time for the compression test
it can be a very bad experience - just sayin' one at a time

Benz,
You want something like this with a 14mm extended adaptor ... maybe do a little reading on the proper procedures as far as leakdowns and compression tests go,you're never too safe ! Cheers ! Phil

I made my own for a couple of bucks.
It only uses one gauge plus one at the compressor. Similar to this: Automotive Cylinder Leak Down Test - YouTube What do you guys think of this method? I get repeatable results, but are they ~accurate?

Does anyone have a leakdown test procedure?
I did a quick search but couldn't find anything.

just did it this yesterday with a friend. a cool unit with a trigger activation would be cool. the one we used looks like a copy of that longacre one..same yellow knob.
