Question 911 - Level suspension or not?

Help me get something straight:

Is a 911 supposed to be level (same hight front/rear) or is it supposed to be slightly lower at the front?

Garage
It should have a one degree downward rake back to front.

To level or not to level is more a matter of personal preference.

If you want a more contemporary look a la 964, 993 and 996, then go for level. If, on the other hand, you prefer a more dated look of a mid life crises boy racer(Ricer?) then, by all means, lower the front end for the look that you prefer.

The only reason the early 911's showed up on our shores with so much rake was to satisfy the Federal Bumper Height regulations, not for handling. But, as soon as Porsche got it's collective act together and integrated the newly designed rear bumpers positioned higher on the body, all 911's became level as they were intended and still met federal regs.

Just remember, image is everything, right?

What is your ride height?

Cheers,

Joe
