I'm looking for expert 1973 Fuch wheel input...
Am I correct in thinking a regular 911 of 1973 had six inch Fuchs all around and the RS had 6 front and 7 rear, or 7 front and 8 rear?
Where I'm going with this is I have four 15x7 Fuchs in which 2 are date coded 3/73 and 2 are date coded 4/73. They are real Porsche wheels with all the proper part numbers, etc... But not sure what 911 they would of been on? All are too early date coded to go on a 1974 , so I am wanting to know what 1973 they could of come on? And could you get a 911S in 1973 that would have gotten a 15x7? Thanks , Mike Winebrenner

It was possible to replace 2 or even 4 of the wheels w/ 7x15 Fuchs, On my '72 I ran 6 & 7 for awhile and eventually 7 & 8 after installing Carrera flares Similarly some RS owners would replace the 6 & 7 w/ 7 & 8x 15 when the 8s became commonly available at the end of '73 Quote:

It normally took the wheels a month or two to get to the production line. So the 3/73 could have been on a 4/73 or 5/73 production car; the 4/73 could have been on a 5/73 or 6/73 production car.
The only car coming off the production line with 7x15 wheels was the RS.
