Budget Car Cover
I keep my car in the garage but it gets pretty dusty. I have a heavy duty cover but it's a pain to put on and off (and it has a tendency to hold dirt and scratch the car). I wanted something I could throw on there easy but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg. I didn't like the idea of using an old sheet because many of them are hard and scratchy. I wanted something soft.
I found an ebay seller that goes by "sewnknitnkit" who sells bulk flannel. I bought two pieces, about $30 and had a local tailor sew them together, another $10. Now I have a cheap, light weight cover that goes on an off easy and can be tossed in the wash easily. Here you go, ![]()

Good Option!
I know a lot of guys in my car club that have the car cover in a big pile on the garage floor. When they put the cover on the car, it taks several minutes as you can never get the direction right (i.e., front vs rear, etc..) I recently showed my friend how I do mine. Basically, when you take the cover off, I fold it from the sides into the center. It usually takes two folds per side. Then, I pull from the rear and fold it into a nice, neat package . When it's time to put on the car - always start from the front. If you do it systematically (i.e., on from the front, off from the rear), you can get the cover on or off in less than a minute and when you fold it, it will fit in the trunk in a nice small package. On a similar note, I'm hoping someone can throw me a link to someone that makes those covers that cover the cab or cockpit only (not a tonneau). I tried to hook up with that nice Canadian fellow, but he stated that he isn't making them anymore. Thanks!!!

10x15ft. 5 yards was the longest you can get a bolt of flannel (at least from the nice lady I got my stuff from).
It's just a tad short. Comes to the top of the front bumper. Without a ducktail, it would be just right.
