Not so far out. I've been playing with this idea for about a year. you can search carputer on ebay or search this site: mp3car.com. Lots to read there. I even downloaded software that projects a nice head unit and even put the Porsche crest in the middle. The biggest problem I see is the lack of a good size/location for a monitor. 7" seems to be too big. The dash doesn't have a good spot because it is so narrow. Under the ashtray or in lieu of the ashtray? Looks too ricey. I even thought about a HUD, but again, there is not much room unless you start cutting the dash up.

I run a Viliv V70 windows XP PC to monitor my innovate Motorsports wideband AFR along with a few other parameters from my DL-32. It also runs garmin mobile pc software for navigation, and has iTunes loaded with my music library, but normally I listen to flat 6 music.

I use my old computer to monitor exhaust gas temperature and supplement the DME. I have it installed in the front trunk. It also has 2000 mp3's on it.

Nice huh?

Puttng a mini computer in your SC will only serve to strengthen the SCWDP.
