New to Pelican 2

Hi All ,
This forum has already helped me out a lot with my build (3 weeks in)
Thought id join up and share the love.
My first car was a 944 great vehicle and bang for buck id rate it.

Been dabbling in the JDM market for 10 years.

Thought it was time to go back to my roots, Sold up and did an American and Europe trip. After visiting the Ruf Factory, Porsche museum and a few laps of the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit .
Inspired me to buy another Porsche.

This is an amazing forum so much knowledge and the host is a bonus, I've only scraped the surface.
Peace Shannon.

Nice 911. I like the color theme you have going. Carbon - silver - gray.

Welcome aboard, very nice looking car.

Quick queston for ya regarding the front euro bumper signals. Does the turn indicator also serve as a running light or is it strictly just a turn indicator?

The reason I ask is someone converted my euro car to US style with running lamps and I have the parts to go back to euro spec, but I don't want a ticket for not having front running lamps.

I may have to install a double filament socket and lamp in the front signal housings. Or add a small LED lamp to the housing to meet the laws here.

If your car's lamps serve the dual purpose then I just need to source the correct housing that will do both.

My '78 does not have the fender mounted side running lamps, they came later.

Not sure on the rules and regulation in America , But in New Zealand you need to have white park lights, located in the headlight housing in my 911 and indicators need to be amber but you can get away with having red rear indicators.
In my Silvia I had two bulbs in the little square lights well the park light was an ultra bright LED and the indicator was an amber bulb.
Always liked the American cars with amber park lights (running lights)

I have the white park lights in my headlights. (Cool feature, I use them as daytime running lights)
The amber runing lights here need to be on as well when the headlights are on at night from what I understand.
So I take it the turn signals only light when signalling.

hi Shannon
Great colour for a 911, the rest of the car looks fantastic too.
1. Ruf Factory
2. Porsche museum
3. Few laps of the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit

Wow these are 3 'must do' things I must do when next in Europe. Please explain - any tips or traps?

Peter in Melbourne

PS: Is that a Datsun 120Y ute? I have an Infiniti G37S coupe and have high regard for Nissan performance engineering

1200 Datsun ute, Yea I'm a big fan of Nissans more passionate about Porsches though.
Germany was amazing , biggest tip is get a navman and always stay 1 to 2 hours outside of main centres .
Everyone hates on the fun park/museum at Nurburgring.
It's well done but defiantly stay in Adanu ?

Another car I'm working on, something you would see alot of in Ozzy !

The SC won't be as dramatic in changes but it's defiantly something I'm going to be hanging on to for a long time.

Sorry for the photo dump
