The Powerflow was an attemt to get at the cooler air towrds the upper rear of the engine compartment, just below the grill, which is the source of all cool air in the engine compartment. It is applicable to 84 on 911,964,993 which have the air meter mounted forward and somewhat shrouded by the engine and chassis sheetmetal. On all previous models up thru the 83 SC the intake was just below the grill right out in the open. Power flow not needed!

By the way dyno results seem to indicate that the Powerflow is just more snakeoil.

The K&N have been shown on the dyno to be pretty much snakeoil also. There is nothing wrong with oem on the SC's. Cut some large holes in the cover if you have to do something.

I have a "High Flow" K&N on my 84 Carrera 3.2 and I have to say that the benefits are a lot smaller than the price I had to pay.

No hp increase unless you change other things as well (exhaust for example).
