help unknown wires

Im putting in a new turn signal/headlight dim/bright switch today and when installing the wires under the dash on the left hand side this wire segment came down. It is sheathed in black plastic like a stock wiring harness. There are 3 wires. One purple and 2 black. The 2 blacks are on the same post. There is a black wire with green stripe and white bands on the lowerside of this harness which connects to the headlight bright/dim switch. I dont know what this is for.
I have looked all over for where this might have broken off from but I dont see any place.

That may have come off of the side of the steering lock mechanism that the ignition switch fits into. It was for the buzzer when you leave the key in the ignition .

Which car? The purple shows for a key buzzer on my '78 schematic

It is an 88 930....and the picture is very helpful...I can see that the pins and connector should fit right into that spot...
Just went outside and checked it and sure enough that is exactly what it is.
I will have to get under there and see if i can reconnect it.

THANKS!
