Does any one no the difference between availble upper strut mount bushings
I'm currently planning my suspension upgrade/rebuild and I will not be using monoballs. Both Elephant and Rebel Racing sells performance upper strut mount bushings. Is there pros and cons to these?
Thanks Dean

They both should perform about the same but I like the istallation method of the Rebel Racing ones better. There is a special tool included that grabs the holes on the periphery rather than the big hex that would require a big wrench. Sort of like a 5 lug wheel versus a center-lock. I am unsure of the quality of the bearing inside the Elephant product so I cannot comment on a lifetime comparison.

What's wrong with the stock part? I pressed the rubber out of mine to modify them for a bit more neg. camber, and it was totally fine & got reused.

911 Dean , I think you are asking about our rubber camber plate bushings and not monoballs.
These are a sport hardness rubber that provides isolation of noise and vibration similar to the stock components. They are a bit harder firmer than stock and thereby deflect less under side loads, helping to prevent camber loss under cornering loads. To the comments about Elephant Racing monoballs, they use high quality American-made Aurora bearings. They install with ordinary tools, so you don't need to worry about losing the specialty tool Fleiger supplies with his product.

I can confirm that the harder rubber bushings from Elephant are phenomenal. All of them. My wife used to hate riding in my 911, now she loves it. And I love driving it even more after I swapped out my worn out ones.

Ooops. I misread the first post. I missed the "not" in front of "be using monoballs". Nevermind then. I don't have rubber bushings.
