Dumb question time
I've never known what these little brackets are for, luggage tie down points? Can someone enlighten me? thanks!

Yes, those are luggage strap tie downs. I have luggage straps in my 70 and they attach there. What year car? Looks like an early one.

A 71 this one. So Porsche made luggage I guess or at least straps as an accessory?

Those were designed for the rallie cars to hold two spare tires; as a matter of fact, there is a particular way to place them w/o touching the fron seats...

There are corresponding loops @ the base of the rear seats. Leather straps (look like belts) go through the loops to hold luggage in place.
