Matt,

I was given word today that you can join through the MG Car Club of Victoria. I haven't looked them up or anything, but apparently they are the organizers.

Matt,

Entry Forms are available from David White of the MGCC (phone 9850 4795). You need your CAMS license and be a member of a car club. Plus the usual CAMS scrutineering stuff.

Cheers, VC

Adam,

Well, I just called the President of the MG Car Club of Victoria. The event is an inter-club one, but the PCV is not involved. As a result of this, he didn't think I'd be able to sign up, although he did give me the number of the man organizing the event who actually encouraged my participation! He told me that there's a few Porsches going to Christmas Hills on the 16th. I assume Victor's is one of them.

He'll be mailing out an application form to me tomorrow.

His name is David White, and his number is:

9850 4795

Victor,

Even though Adam beat you to it, I'm still going to say thanks!

Matt, the president is wrong. I have the entry form in front of me, and PCV is definately on the invite list. That's how I got invited. Like I said, ring David White.

Cheers, VC

Thumbs up Adam, Matt.

Here's the CAMS link:
http://www.cams.com.au/getinvolved/competitors/gettingamotorracinglicence.cfm

or Phone 1300 653 529.

You'll need a level 2 licence as a speed event, hill climb participant in a CAMS affiliated car club event. When you join the club you automatically become a member of CAMS (good for club discounts at AutoBarn too)
I'm a member of the TSOA Vic with my TR4.
The host club should be able to issue the licence on the day at the event, after scrutineering and driver briefing - a fire extinguisher an extra bonnet restraint, driver flame-resistant clothing and a helmet. Not sure about insurance cover - life and limb, but your Porsche comprehensive could be doubtful. Worth a check I'd reckon. I wont risk my daily driver so I'm either a spectator or volunteer as a flaggie at these club events.
Have fun.
