Paul,

Congrats on getting to production on the 17's. Ultimately, I think the real stamp of approval comes with time and customer feedback from the road…with or without spec sheet. Saving my pennies!!

Thanks. I agree. Once these get out there they will prove very popular I'm sure.

I should have some more technical details and better renderings soon too.

What is the lead time on these? Are they shipping now? I'm restoring an 86 Cabriolet and the owner may want to go to 17s.

Just went to pre-production. We anticipate them to start shipping in January 2015.

OK, thank you, I'm delivering the car in October so probably too late, but I will suggest them.

We are very excited by the response to the introduction of our 17" Porsche classic wheels to the point where we only one set left at the introductory price of $3,019. Once that's sold the next 10 sets will be $3,930. Hurry up!

A big thank you to everyone who ordered a set of our new 17" Porsche Classic wheels at the super low discounted price. We were overwhelmed with orders and are now sold out at the introductory price. We still have 10 sets in production at the still discounted price of $3930 per set which will stay in place till all ten sets are sold. Based on last months response that won't be long. Contact Pelican Parts to order or visit www,BRAIDusa.com for more information.

Good! That would seem sketchy. Nice ride there!

Nice work.

Are the lug seats painted or unpainted? I think the originals were unpainted, as the paint creates a slippery surface? I could be wrong.

I see tons of cars with Braid stickers, Braid wheels. Seem to be pretty nice cars!

Thanks FrenchToast. The seats on the current range come painted so I imagine these will be too. Doesn't appear to be ideal but they are used all over the world without a problem.

Yes, sales are really taking off as word spreads. 60% up from last year!

It's been two years since my first post in this thread gauging interest in 17" classic replica wheels and now I can say with a smile on my face that our goal is in sight.

So a quick update: I spoke to the factory this week. They have five pre-production wheels in hand. Four are for testing and one they are sending to me as a sample/demo. I hope to get a tire on it and bolt it to a car as soon as it arrives. Pictures will follow fairly rapidly thereafter.

Unfortunately, due to production schedules, development is taking a little longer than initially hoped for. Our original goal was to ship these in late January which would have had them in our hands by early March and then an additional week for domestic ground shipping from our Michigan facility. Now, it is looking more like April till we will receive them. However, if you need yours sooner we can arrange for your order to be drop shipped direct from the factory to your door cutting transportation times by about a month. This will get them to you in about the original timeframe.

One other interesting aspect to the program is that the factory has gone ahead and developed the rest of the range too, not just the 9” and 11” widths. As a consequence we will soon be able to offer 17” Porsche Classic wheels in widths from 7” to 12” in ˝” increments! The other development over the existing 15” and 16” range is that there will be NO standard offset for the 17” wheels. They will be available in various offsets, some even suitable for 964s, 993s and 996s, at no additional cost! This makes for a truly versatile and comprehensive range. More details to follow very soon.

We thank you once again for helping to bring this project to fruition and your patience as we near the finish line. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

That one should be a 17x11 at ET0. We expect to have full offsets and widths next week with pricing but basically 7" to 12" and offsets at 5mm increments seems to be the plan.

these look nice! The very outside lip, can that be ground down to be flush with the flat outer ring?
