Because today we shipped our first two sets of customer 17" Porsche replica wheels :)

Thanks so much to everyone who contributed to this project. We couldn't have done it without your input, wisdom, trust and patience. A truly collaborative effort :)

Another busy photo shoot of the 17" BZ wheels this week. This time on the 85 Carrera at the famous Cranbrook Institute and museum. Again, these are just my iPhone snaps.

We can do the 9 and 11. Assuming it has 930 flares probably ET-3 to ET-21 in the front and ET-21 to ET-27 for the rear. Unless it has turbo trailing arms. $4552 plus shipping for these.

I'll have to check on prices for the 934 set. Any idea what backspacing or offset it is going to need? I haven't played with many 934s (zero).

Looks like a 17x 14 is feasible but we need a ballpark offset or backspace to know for sure and to price. Let me know if you can.

They're here !

Well, this Wednesday three wheels arrived. Apparantly one wheel decided it was too cold to go to Australia this time of year, so got off in Germany, while the others continued on their way. The authorities caught up with the wayward wheel, sunning itself in a corner, and duly sent it on to complete it's journey, arriving two days after the others in time to enjoy an Antarctic blast.

Here's a mock-up

We test fitted the Carrera wheels on a Turbo Look last Saturday, at the local cars and coffee meet. We're not shy. They fit but are not exactly the correct specs for this model. Still, they look pretty nice.

As customers are now starting to receive their 17" BZ wheels I've started a new thread titled "Show Us Your BRAID Wheels" where you can post pictures of them on your car (or here if you prefer)

so if you install a set of wheels on your 930 without the OE spacers the extended OE studs are going to stick out 28mm further and you wont' be able to use your OE lug nuts. You could replace the studs with shorter ones or you could do what one of our customers did and just add the closed end lug nuts over the oen end lug nuts he used to bolt them on.

Toby930 08-26-2015 01:41 PM

What color did that customer use to match the center caps against the black center? And how did they paint the contours silver? :)

Look really nice!

Where can you order the shorter studs?

Cheers
