Fuel filter clogged, cap, rotor, wires, plugs come to mind right away.
Possible air box leak. CDI failing, fuel pump relay coming loose.... And the list goes on.

when it's at normal operating temp, take out the interior light fuse on the front fuse box and see if the idle gets all rough. if nothing changes, you need to troubleshoot the oxygen sensor system, particularly the operating relay under the front of the passenger seat. it's powered by that fuse, and the relay powers the computer and frequency valve. the O2 computer is the big box behind the relay. bad relay, bad connection in the relay plug, water in relay or computer.... basically, if the computer doesn't work the frequency valve, the car runs like crap.

I think John Walker's just answered the my question to the rough running I experienced on the drive home last night. Interestingly when I got home, I saw this wire had pulled out of the wire loom on the fuse panel. Voila! I will go reattach it and give it a whirl. Thanks!
