Anybody else have one this bad?

This spring plate bushing bracket is amazingly rusted!

I can't believe how bad this thing looks considering the rest of the car (body) is rust free. What gives? Just the grinding of road debris into the bracket or what?

mine was rusted plain thru on both sides, so much for not driving during michigan winters. one call to stoddard and 30 dollars later i had a nice set ready to bolt on.

Porsche Crest

I guess the Texas environment is a bit easier on them ... I cleaned mine up back in '85 and had them Cadmium-plated!

When I bought my car the drivers side was rusted through around the bottom. Passenger side perfect. I can only think that during the winter stuff from oncoming traffic and road salt on the road center line may not help. However the rest of the car didn't bear witness to the state of the one plate.

Wow, I never heard anyone mention in past topics that their brackets had rusted clear-through. I must not have paid close enough attention? Thanks fellas.

My 91 5.0 Mustang has more rust than that and cracks around the four bar rear end pick up points. Thats when I quit doing hole shots in it.

Any one want to buy a nice 91 5.0

Looks great from 20 feet....maybe ebay!

Re: 91 5.0

Bring it over here to Tinley Dennis! Fellas around here love anything with a V-8 rumble. It could be the biggest POS on the road- doesn't matter. Just cut out the mufflers and it'll sell in a hearbeat in my town.

How's this for rusting through? I replaced both sides at the same time.

I just got out of the shower from a days worth of yard work, and now I can't help crawling under the car to see what mine look like
