I just thought I would ask what my fellow P-owners are putting off that, if completed, would make them feel like on Cloud9.
I myself wished that my transmission is in top shape. As always, it grinds in first gear. The only it would go in is at a dead stop. How about you guys? What are you guys putting off? |

finally taking the rims in for refinishing tomorrow...externally, this will make the car very nice. Recent paint, recent Cab top, replacing the front lenses, front and rear spoilers, interior looking good
BUT, I'm putting off engine work big time. It needs to be rebuilt. I'm cruising for another engine so I can rebuild it myself and learn a lot, and meanwhile drive this one until it literally grinds to a halt at which time I will play taps, cry, touch it gently, then tuck it under my bed forever. ------------------ Kurt B 1984 Carrera Cabriolet 911 Page carrera_cabriolet@yahoo.com |

My Carrera tensioner failed at one time because the oil galley plug on the right bank popped out. No damage on the engine though, just some chain noise. I then replaced the right bank with the original tensioner with hydra-stop just to get the car running while I figure out how to install the oil galley plug back and keep it from popping out again. Well, its been a couple of months since the repair of the carrera tensioner and I still haven't put it back. So basically, my car is running on half Carrera and half original tensioner. I really have to stop putting this off. Hmmm, maybe I'll do it this weekend, maybe.

Planning a motor swap. Not so much putting it off as trying to find the time. ETA has been moved from mid summer to this winter.
The present 3.0L plain runs perfect and has lots of power for what it is. Makes the wait real easy. I know how these swaps go. It will be a lot of sorting out and a few major headaches. Tranny will be refreshed as well. That is why winter might be a better time. Other than the requisite first gear synchro crunching the car is perfect, absolutely no complaints. |

Putting off fixing my oil leaks, will do that this winter. And most of all putting off the New Paint job, she needs and deserves, this winter too? Next at the latest.
