I am planning a twin plug setup for my car. Using MSD 6AL boxes but not sure which coils to use. Suggestions?
Thank you W

Coils
Blaster 2 coils have 2 options, I like the Hi vibration because it can be mounted in any position, where as the Red standard coil needs to be mounted tower up

If you are mounting the coil in a non-standard orientation, then the MSD Blaster High Vibration Ignition Coil (MSD part number 8222) is the coil to get.
There are lots of race cars here in Northern California using the 8202 part just fine because the coil is mounted as designed. Most folks don't regularly change the coil mounting location so buy the coil that fits your application. For example, my car has two coils mounting in the standard orientation so I have the 8202 part. There is no reason to use the more expensive 8222 part in my setup. Scott |
