Do you people want to do a drive up to Sedona, or do the Pavillions thing? I would prefer a drive up to where the temp is not 115

Sup to all of you

Joeaksa 06-20-2002 06:25 AM

Anything new on this idea?

Do we need a poll of Sedona vs the Pavillions?

Need some input from everyone here!

Joe

UP

BlueSkyJaunte 06-20-2002 09:15 AM

I'd vote for Sedona, but isn't 89A closed now due to fire hazards?

LeeH 06-20-2002 01:57 PM

As expected, my wife is working weekends next month. That means the long drive is out for me and Pavillions will be a maybe.

Hey Joe... when are you guys getting that RJ?

MarkY 06-20-2002 02:00 PM

I'm going to have to pass on a run to Sedona. It's just too blasted hot in July.

...Says the guy with REAL A/C.

Too Hot??? Wait let me check the temp outside....

hmmm 112 today. Yeah I guess your right in JULY it will be TOO hot.

Lets do this, we can refire up the post just after the 4th of July weekend and we will see what develops from there.

I am sure we will get a cold front moving into the area around July 10th and the temp should drop to 110!

Drive south, It gets cooler down here. It's only 107 in Tucson and probably under 100 in Sierra Vista.

RJ Gilliam 06-20-2002 06:40 PM

Jeff, is there a nice twisty turny road down your way?

JeffW 06-20-2002 07:00 PM

Now that you mention it there is. If you take 83 to sonoita (sp?) it gets really twisty and up and down. It gets kinda rough on a N/A car but a turbo would eat it up...

Joeaksa 06-20-2002 08:29 PM

Thats no fair! RJ already is out front even at low altitudes!

Hey Guys,

Been really busy this week.

Haven't heard back from McDonalds yet. I'll check with them tomorrow. Sounds like most folks want to do a drive of some sort but I'll still check with McD's for reservation info.

I go to California on Sunday for the week and I spoke with Al Reed and he said no problem getting my wheels done in that timeframe. Hey RJ, Thanks for the props on my car :) !! I still want to get them done though. Can anyone recommend a good tire place for dismounting/mounting tires? Also, found 2 sets of seats but the jury is still out on them.

I did hear there's a great road down Tucson way. The PCA drove it a couple of months ago. The info is no longer on their site but I think it went from Sierra Vista back to Tucson and twistys were mentioned.

Another group drive sounds great and I want to go but my lack of a/c will ensure that I go solo.

Talk to you soon.

JeffW 06-20-2002 11:36 PM

ya.. highway 83 is pretty good...goes into sonoita then from there a long straight way ( won't tell you what I've done on that) to sierra vista. Gret drive for a sports car. Only one problem, my car runs like crap right now so I don't know if I'll be able to make it.

DonDavis 06-22-2002 07:21 AM

I tried to reach the person for reservations again yesterday with no luck. The person I did speak with suggested that I keep trying and/or go to the event and look up 'Heather' at the dj booth. I left another voice mail for her. Do we want to try and do this on the 13th? Or plan a drive?
