trunk lid will not open on my 930

help anyone, i cannot get my trunk lid to open. it worked fine last week, today nothing. any ideas??????????????? the cable appears to be intact.

If the cable releases all tension it will also open it just like pulling it. Remove the knob and let the cable go in further. If it dont just pop open push down on the hood . I would try pushing down while someone pulls the cable before you take the pull knob apart. Remember NO screwdrivers for prying.

Bentley's has a procedure for "emergency" trunk opening, but it involves drilling so is a last resort. If Kurt's methods don't work, lmk and I will post or email it to you.

pjv911 has it right.
this happens to me from time to time.
i push down on the lid a bit (lower center)
and then go back and pull cable and it should pop open.
having someone push down on the lid at the same time you pull on the cable helps also.

Hello

The trunk lock needs sometimes lube and readjusting.
Lube is done at every regular service.
