O2 sensor missing?
I'm trying to change the cat converter to cat bypass, other than exhausting my long list of expletives trying to grind off the rusted bolts at the front end, I've just noticed there isn't an O2 sensor or a port to attach in the cat, obviously my new bypass unit has a hole for one.
1988 Euro spec Carrera. Anyone tell me why please?

Euro cars did not have an OXS.

True that, but a lot of imports had them added along with a cat. An O2 sensor is an important data input for the DME.

Thanks. Slight delay in proceedings - "moment" with the angle grinder. Cheers.

A Euro Carrera already has a "cat bypass" in that it has no cat. What looks like a cat is a pre-muffler. You may be doing all of this work for essentially nothing.
An O2 sensor is of no use for the ECU in a Euro car. JR |

Yeah, just want to get the rusty tube off and get a new shiny one on. Thanks.
